"You may not always end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you were meant to be" - Unknown
This year has been quite a journey for me. I felt that this quote has really come to fruition for me. Last January I was serving at Edgewood with no clue that I would have the opportunity to join the staff at FMS by the end of 2017. I can't express enough my appreciation for the way all of you have welcomed me to the staff and have truly made me feel like FMS is where I am meant to be. I'm looking forward to continuing all our progress as we enter 2018! Here are the final Staff Notes for 2017! STAFF NOTES As you read staff notes this week, you are going to see that they are much shorter than usual and they include mostly reminders. This week is going to be a very busy week for our building. Our boys basketball team concludes their season, the bands and choirs have their holiday concerts, our FMS Holiday Dance is Friday, and we all have our own gatherings and events occurring in the evenings. With all of this going on, we are going to need to make a very concentrated effort to help our students stay focused. There are only 4 full weeks left in this second quarter and first semester. I have a feeling that many of our students aren't aware of the urgency that they should have as we bring this quarter/semester to a close. Our intervention team is meeting on Thursday. If you have students you have academic concerns about please bring them to the team's attention by filling out a referral form on the hub.
My hope is that we can embrace the season and the hustle that it brings. I'm looking forward to the next two weeks and closing out 2017 next to all of you. Here are your STAFF NOTES for this week. "People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those that are doing it" - George Bernard Shaw
We are doing it! I'm so impressed on a daily basis with the things that all of you are doing and bringing to our building. I know that each of you have hit hurdles along the journey and I know you all know that they will continue to come. I just wanted to take a short moment to encourage you to take those challenges head on and know that you have support. People are going to tell us that our mission cannot be done, but lets not let those interruptions stop us from continuing to do it! My challenge this week for you is to face those challenges, shutdown any negativity you encounter and continue to do what you do! With that, here is this weeks STAFF NOTES. |
