Don't get I can't believe that Wednesday is the last day of February already. This is both VERY exciting and VERY frightening all at the same time. As I created staff notes this week I noticed that when I was working at the bottom portion (Derek and my calendar and the building events for the week) that it was beginning to fill up. Please spend the extra time to really familiarize yourself with the events going on. I anticipate these sections to become quite full moving forward and it will be important for all of us to stay on the same page in order to be consistent and make sure all our deadlines are met.
One thing I have noticed about myself as an educator, is when I come to this point in the year it is easy to start thinking about "next year". While we start to see meetings and discussions pop up about next year it is important for us to focus on the now. I challenge all of us to focus on this next month, March. Build a personal game plan for the next 30+ days and make the most impactful you possibly can. Don't get stressed thinking about "the rest of the year", don't give up on something you have been working hard on changing, and don't say "I'll just wait and try that next year". Take March day by day and give 100% of whatever you've got. Here are you STAFF NOTES for this week! I apologize for staff notes being posted Monday morning and not Sunday evening.
TIP OF THE WEEK: Make sure your charger is in your bag before you leave for the weekend. BONUS TIP: Check your bag before Sunday evening so you have time to run to school if needed. I wanted to thank all of you who filled out the FEA surveys. I especially appreciate the comments and there was certainly some valuable feedback included. THANK YOU! I will be out this Thursday and Bob will be here in my place. Please continue with our protocols and procedures status quo. I'm really looking forward to our presentation this Wednesday at delayed start on Retributive vs Restorative Justice. I think it will be valuable knowledge to have and you will have a valuable strategy to use when you leave. We will be wrapping up Mid-Year meetings this week and classroom observations will continue. Here are your STAFF NOTES for this SHORT week! I will be honest, I'm sitting in my living room watching the Super Bowl and preparing for the big JT performance. I'm looking forward to this week as I will have the opportunity to sit down with most of you over the next week and a half. I don't want these meetings to cause any of you stress or anxiety. These conversations are going to focus on reflection of the first semester and planning for continued growth second semester.
I don't have an inspirational quote to share this week with you, however I DO have a good tip to help you when you become frustrated or mad. The next time you reach that frustration breaking point remember...Nobody can be frustrated while trying ot say "bubbles" in an angry voice! Now that you have all just tried it out (I only know this because I tried it too), here are your STAFF NOTES for this week. |
