One full "regular" week down. I know that a lot of you still feel like you are in that first 5000 ft. of a skydive. You aren't alone! We are all in this together. We have come so far in such a short time and I'm so proud and pleased with how this school year has started. Every single one of you have stepped up to the plate and have made the most with what we have been given. You have adopted new protocols, procedures, curriculum, online platforms, and a completely new way of teaching. Through all of it, I still see smiles and dancing in the hallways! THANK YOU. This is seen by the students and it drives the culture of our building.
This week, find some time to reflect back on the video we watched last Wednesday. As important as procedures and protocols are, it is the relationships and connections you make that will last a lifetime for multiple generations! Find some time this week to BE YOU, be who you are meant to be, and begin to build those relationships! Here are you STAFF NOTES for this week! In a strange way, I'm looking forward to this week. It will be the first "normal" week of the year. Although it is extremely far from what our true normal days are, at least for now it will be our "normal" week. It will be an important week to really set the precedent for expectations on work, behavior, etc...Lets make sure we work hard and focus on getting these things set the way that we want, we have to live in this place at least for the semester.
Here are your STAFF NOTES for the week! Thank you to ALL of you for such an incredible first week back, even though it was odd, strange, unconventional, and the list could go on. I would consider it one of my better first weeks of school, which I never in a million years thought I would say about this year. I received so much good feedback from families and students who were so relieved to be back and have something with a slight resemblance of normalcy in their lives.
As I told you last Wednesday, I could not be more impressed with the mindset, drive, and courage you all have returned with. Your confidence and attitudes have rubbed off onto the students and it has traveled back to so many homes in our district. Your impact this week was not only on our school, but our community, and it has been enormous! We all know that there will be more bumps ahead, but I truly believe that if we continue to support each other and approach each day the way we approached last week, there is nothing that will stop us. I am so truly proud to be working with all of you. I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend that allowed you to recharge and reset! Here are your STAFF NOTES for this week! |
